When you want to build a personal training business, knowing your potential and current customers is a crucial first step. That’s where survey data can help. Over the years, IDEA has surveyed personal trainers to benchmark how the business is evolving. As part of our commitment to building the industry, IDEA has partnered with American Sports Data Inc. (ASD) to bring you the results of a nationwide survey of clients who use personal trainers in the United States. This survey was completed predominantly by clients training in health clubs; therefore, it is specific to those clients. The demographic information, however, likely applies as well to clients who hire trainers to work in their homes or in other locations.
