Meet an IDEA Team Member: Kelly Beck

When work becomes frenzied, it helps to have the grounding presence of someone who brings order to the chaos. That’s where our marketing and sales coordinator, Kelly Beck, shines.

Kelly’s organized and relaxed attitude is like the calm after a (marketing) storm, as she nurtures relationships with our clients, coordinates projects between IDEA teams and handles our communications daily, including social media and newsletter scheduling. Her role involves plenty of moving parts, but she juggles them all with ease.

“Kelly is energetic, proactive, meticulous and deadline-oriented,” shares Phil Malavenda, IDEA’s senior director of marketing and technology. “Her demeanor makes collaborations incredibly easy.”

Not only is she a breeze to work with, she is also integral to the ongoing cycle of positive energy between IDEA and its members. “One of the fun parts about social is getting to interact with all our fit pros daily and get inspo from them!” says Kelly. “I love working for a company that helps professionals whose job is to make others’ lives better.”

When she’s not managing the marketing deluge at IDEA, Kelly enjoys practicing yoga, venturing outdoors in sunny San Diego, and spending time with friends.

Q&A With Kelly

Q: What should people know about you they might never ask about?

A: I’m a die-hard Raiders fan.

Q: What are two of your bucket-list items?

A: To write a book and lots more travel!

Q: If you were a piece of fitness equipment, what would you be?

A: A yoga mat because when people use it, it brings them calm and peace. I find the most peace in my life during savasana.

Q: What’s your favorite view in San Diego?

A: Downtown lights at night—and every time I see it I make a point to say it’s my favorite view.

Q: What inspires you in life?

A: Helping others inspires me. Also, the many great people in my life [whom] I look up to.
