Los Angeles, CA – July 12, 2024 – IDEA® Health & Fitness Association is proud to announce the winners of the prestigious 2024 IDEA Industry Awards, sponsored by Herbalife Nutrition. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements and contributions in the health and fitness industry, honoring individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication.  

The nominees and recipients were selected by a panel of independent and anonymous fitness industry leaders, past award recipients, and peers. This year, the annual lifetime achievement award named for the iconic, industry influencing Jack LaLanne, is renamed to include his legacy carrying partner in business and in life, Elaine. TV fitness titan Gilad Janklowicz was named the recipient of the newly renamed IDEA Jack and Elaine LaLanne Award.

Ingrid Knight-Cohee is named IDEA Fitness Leader of the Year for her exemplary leadership and significant impact on the industry. Ingrid’s commitment to empowering others and advancing fitness education has made her a role model for professionals worldwide. 

Marc Coronel is recognized as IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year for his outstanding dedication to client success and mastering innovative training methodologies. Marc’s passion for personalized fitness solutions has garnered him widespread respect among peers and clients alike. 

Aimee Nicotera is honored as IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year for her exceptional teaching skills and inspirational fitness instruction. Aimee’s dedication to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals has set her apart as a leader in the fitness community. 

Ruben Pereyra is awarded IDEA Emerging Trailblazer of the Year for his remarkable contributions as a rising star in the industry. “Receiving the IDEA Emerging Trailblazer of the Year Award is an extraordinary honor and a pivotal milestone in my career,” says Pereyra. “This recognition amplifies my mission to move, touch, and inspire everyone throughout my professional journey.” Ruben’s approach to advancing fitness for special populations, like the active aging community, has positioned him as a trailblazer for future generations. 

The IDEA® Industry Awards recognize professionals who exemplify the highest standards of achievement in fitness education, programming, and leadership. Each winner has demonstrated a profound commitment to improving the health and well-being of others through their exceptional work.
